Our story
Belong before you believe
ARC Dagenham began with a simple conviction: that the borough of Barking & Dagenham deserves a church that feels like family, a place where anyone can walk in, encounter Jesus, and belong before they believe.
We were planted out of the A Radical Church (ARC) family, and every Sunday we gather at Mayfield Leisure Centre to worship, open the Bible and share life. Through the week we scatter into community groups, schools, workplaces and streets across the borough.
We are not a polished performance and we are not a private club. We are a work in progress: saved by grace, shaped by the Word, and sent on mission to the heart of Dagenham.
What we believe
Ancient faith, alive today
God
One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Creator of all things, good and gracious.
Jesus
Fully God and fully man. His life, death and resurrection are the centre of our faith.
The Holy Spirit
God present with us today, comforting, empowering and transforming those who follow Jesus.
The Bible
God’s inspired word, and our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
The Church
Not a building but a family, called to worship God and carry his love to the world.
The Mission
Every believer is sent. We exist to make disciples, starting on our own doorstep.
